Anne Pullin has been appraising personal property for 35+ years, 5 years in Kansas and then in the Orlando - Winter Park area for the last 30 plus years.
She appraises all types of personal property. She has formal art history and studio art education. She took a distant learning course with the University of Reading in England to prepare for examinations for admission into the Incorporated Society of Valuers & Auctioneers [now merged into The Royal Institute for Chartered Surveyors - RICS].
The examinations were each three hours long, essay type questions. Subjects covered were: Glass, Metals, Antique Furniture [European & English], Ceramics, Gold & Silver / Jewelry, Paintings, Carpets & Textiles, Accounting & Law of Auction. She remained with this association for about twenty years.
Anne also studied gems with the Gemological Institute of America and earned her designation of Graduate Gemologist [GG].
She earned a Master of Arts in a program developed by the American Society of Appraisers with Hofstra University. She earned a Bachelor Fine Art at Newcomb College.
Her most important published work was Glass Signatures & Trademarks From the 17th to the 20th Century.
Anne is currently a member Emeritus of the Appraisers Association of America. |
